Fernando Montiel knocked out Nicaraguan Alvaro Perez at the 1:26 mark of the 3rd round of their match on Sunday in Baja California in Mexico.

After soundly defeating the overmatched Perez, Montiel told BoxingScene.com that he wants a rematch against Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire.

Donaire had demolished Montiel in February of this year, with the Filipino champion knocking his foe out in just 2 rounds.

Montiel insists, however, that he can win against Donaire.

"I'm back and ready to win my fourth title in a fourth weight division," Montiel said. "In 2012, I will pursue a rematch against Nonito Donaire."
